Don't Miss World Book Night! Monday, April 23, 2012

All FRCS staff, students and family are encouraged to attend.  Students in Grade 8 - 12 will receive a free book, just for attending!



Grade 6 Geography Travel Expo!

Mr. Evan Cardullo's classes put on a Geography Travel Expo! Small groups of students presented their research on a specific European Region in the form of a travel agent expo! Students prepared written brochures to "sell" their peers on a travel package to their region. Their sales pitch was based on historical, cultural and geographical information about the region. "An evening with Eva Paddock, Holocaust Survivor" was a smashing success with a standing room only crowd!

Parents, students, faculty, staff and local community members attended, it was a stellar turnout - thank you to everyone that attended! Read more and view pictures  

 

Champ Camp for kids with Asthma

The American Lung Association is now accepting applications for Champ Camp for Kids with Asthma (CCKA). CCKA will be held July 29-August 3 at Coutts-Moriarty Camp in Derby,VT.  At CCKA, children ages 8-12 with moderate to severe asthma, experience the excitement and fun of a five day, co-ed summer camp in a safe, medically supervised environment.Read More

MCSAO First Ever All-Star Game, Saturday, March 24th Pioneer Charter School of Science hosted the first ever Massachusetts Charter School Athletic Association (MCSAO) All-Star basketball game fundraiser. Read More

April is College Month at FRCS!
Promoting conversation about college is an important way for students to set academic goals and plan for education beyond high school.  Each year in April we have a number of events that support college awareness.  On Wednesdays, K-12 staff will wear their college shirts or sweatshirts.Read More
