A Breastfeeding Journey

Community Collaboration - Early Head Start

MOMS Orange County will be part of a new community partnership that will focus on providing needed services to low-income infants, toddlers, pregnant women and their families in Santa Ana. (read more)

Community Partner - Readiness on the Road

Since October 2008, MOMS Orange County has housed the administrative offices of community organization Readiness on the Road, at it's facility in Santa Ana.  A program of Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove, Readiness on the Road is a school readiness program funded by the Children and Families Commission of Orange County which provides free school readiness and parenting classes for families of children 2 1/2 -5 years of age at no cost.  (read more)

MOMS Orange County Awarded State Contract

MOMS Orange County was awarded a $182,100 California Department of Public Health contract for the Regional Perinatal Program of Orange County.  The two-year contract will also continue the efforts of the Orange County Perinatal Council (OCPC) an initiative that provides leadership in promoting access to health services and develops linkages between health professionals and organizations in Orange County.        (read more)

MOMS Orange County was honored to accept the award for Organization of the Year at the Westminster Chamber of Commerce 2010 Public Service Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.  The luncheon was held at the Rose Center in the city of Westminster and also recognized the work of 16 City of Westminster employees and Citizen of the Year recipients Lloyd and Doris Thomas.

Volunteer Opportunities

MOMS Orange County currently has a number of internship and volunteer opportunities available at its Santa Ana facility. If you are a student or community member and would like to offer your time and talents to helping families have healthy babies, please consider MOMS Orange County.

Volunteer opportunities are available in the areas of data collection and research, program evaluation, and special events! This is a great way to garner experience and skills in the non-profit sector.
