Yes folks, much of Rifts earth us still radioactive. It doesn't help that any moron with the credits can get a vehicle powered by a mini nuke.
If you don't like that tentacle modification you might want to pick up a handy dandy geiger counter. Oh, and they aren't any use if they are stuck at the bottom of your backpack.
