If this is your first time reading our Om, we are on the path of Divine Wholeness. These Om's are a preview to my upcoming book on how to recognize Divine Wholeness and live the life that we truly love.
The fifth step is to "wake up" in as many moments as you can throughout your day. Meaning notice...have the presence of mind as often as you can. If our entire existence is about waking up to our Divinity, which it is, then know it, feel it and become it.
This is a difficult challenge to take on - why? Because again our minds are like monkeys - jumping here and there and everywhere. We can't stop thinking about the past, the future, what we said, what we didn't say, what we have to buy at the grocery store, what 60 Minutes said about the brand of milk we are drinking and what our neighbors are doing for their spring break vacation.
And those thoughts hit us in just 5 minutes on some days!
Chill - take a break and slow down! Breathe. Yes, I know you have heard me say this before but it is true. All magic is found in the breath. If we slow down long enough, our brain actually can assess what is going on and we can begin to discern if what we are doing is fulfilling us or not.
This is such a huge issue for our society. We are so consumed with what's "out there" that we don't even notice what we are doing to create it. Not only that but if we still hold the belief that we are all energy, which by the way we are, then when we act unconsciously or fill our bodies and minds with more stagnant energy, we become so dense (in our energetic anatomy that is - no pun intended) that we can't even receive the messages that are out there for us!
Sounds like a vicious cycle right? Where to begin? Simple.....
Notice what you are eating and drinking. Read the labels instead of just grabbing! Understand what something as simple as high fructose corn syrup does to your internal organs and then make an empowered decision. Evaluate what you are reading, watching on TV and listening to on the radio. The world is full of judgments, opinions, fairy tales, gossip and non-truths that the more we hear, the more trouble we have putting it all together logically for our Self.
Bottom line, what we put into our bodies and minds has a direct effect on our subconscious mind. Make the information and the energy input as clean and as clear as you can for the most clean and clear output.
Let me add just one thing here, I am very well aware that the holidays bring about many opportunities to fill our minds and bodies with so many things that can be misconstrued as "bad" for us. Instead of judging what is good or bad right now, how about instead you just notice - that's it. Just notice. Such a graceful place to be!
