Less Serious
I had the pleasure of leading the first Spiritual Warrior Retreat this weekend at the Oregon Coast.  I was honored to spend an entire weekend with some amazing, courageous, beautiful, spiritually awakened women.  What a gift it is to open ourselves to more love and positive energy than we can ever imagine.

We get so busy with our lives; we forget how important making connections with other like-minded individuals really is to the development of our Self.

We talked about so many things this past weekend it is challenging for me to write about what stood the most for me; there was so much Divine inspiration flowing through us all.  Honestly, the only thing we really did differently was sit quietly.  That's it.  I guess we fed upon each other with our ideas and concepts - sharing always helps make sense of things.

One thing I did realize is that we all carry around "stuff" with us.  Each one of us has "something" we are grieving about, working on, deciding upon, contemplating, challenging ourselves with - we all have "stuff".  This type of turmoil is a normal part of our human experience.  It is what it is!  I can't imagine a life without turmoil, questions and decisions.  How boring it would be really.  Where would the growth happen?  How would we ever remember our inner radiance without our inner turmoil?

The downside is all this turmoil creates dis-ease in the body.  So somewhere, we all harbor dis-ease in our physical body.  Energetically speaking we want that dis-ease to move.  We want it to flow.  It is normal so it's ok to experience it but the intention would be to let it flow through us without stagnating or getting stuck anywhere in the body.

But we don't let it flow.  We hold onto it.  We suffer over and over again.  We replay memories in our mind that cause us pain without moving past it.  We are gripped with fear when we have to make a decision...what if it's the wrong one?

We continue to beat ourselves up for something we did years ago that has nothing to do with who we are now. We cover it all up and busy ourselves with things that mean nothing to us.

We pack our schedules so tight that we have no time to go inward and face what is causing the dis-ease.  Allowing it to continue embed itself in our body physically, emotionally and spiritually.

So now what?  The answer is simple.  To be free from dis-ease, change the weight of the seriousness about the circumstance or blockage and in doing so we change the wait of our healing and move beyond our circumstance.

Think about that for a minute.  Change the weight of the seriousness about the circumstance.  How much does this event weigh on you?  Your thoughts?  Your decisions? Why?  What belief keeps you rooted in that event?  Making you replay it over and over again until you "figure it out."  I'll bet that when you get to the root of the issues, even the weight you place on that event or circumstance is totally out of your control.

When we let go and stop allowing life to kick us and drop us to our knees, we can be free from dis-ease in the body and move forward to the life we were meant to experience.  We can continue along our path of spiritual awareness, growth and development without looking back at events that control us and drop us into stagnation.

Change the weight of the seriousness.....let it go.  Laugh about it.  Fall into it.  Be free from it.  Let energy flow to and from you effortlessly.
