A few weeks ago, I was looking for a quote to use in my memo. The quote was from the Book of Runes which is a handbook for the use of the ancient oracles. The book comes with a bag of 25 stone runes, each with a different character or "runic alphabet". The way you use it is you consult the runes on a specific question or situation, draw a rune out of the bag and use the handbook to give you the interpretation. These interpretations are usually spiritual in nature and often, they include some very poignant quotes. I got this as a gift many years ago and have always been astounded, especailly when I give readings to others, how accurate it is.
Anyway, I was looking for a specific one liner quote to use for the week's memo and I couldn't find it. I flipped carefully through the 160 page book and each rune reading and could not locate this quote! Frustrated I surrendered and said to the universe, "I give up. YOU find me this quote." So, I stuck my hand in the bag and grabbed around for the first stone. The first rune I picked gave me the corresponding page that had the quote I was thinking about for a previous weeks memo, which I found interesting, because while I paraphrased the quote for the memo, I was, in fact curious if I got it right. So it gave me that answer. The second rune I picked gave me the corresponding page of the exact quote I was looking for that day. In a matter of a 5 minute exchange, I asked, and it was given. . . with a little help from my friends. Some people call this synchronicity, luck or chance. I call it co-creation at its best.
This week we talk about co-creation and how to engage to power of the universe to get what you want.

"It is as easy to create a castle as a button when you let yourself leverage the Energy that creates worlds." ~ Abraham-Hicks
We live in a magical universe with a power and energy that creates worlds. The question is, are we creating in concert with this force, utilizing what it has to offer, or are we insisting on going it alone? The thing about Co-Creation is that it involves a partnership. It's an interdependent relationship dependent on our acknowledgement. Think about it: How well would your relationship deepen, evolve, or thrive if you never acknowledged your partner? Pretty soon, you wouldn't feel like you had one, would you? Although you can call the relationship to the Universe an "invisible" one, a partnership is still at hand. And as a partnership, it requires participation. Because I've spent a lot of time alone in my life, my relationship to God or Source Energy has always been primary. I had to depend on my invisible friends to bring me what I needed because on top of being single, I was also an introvert. It wasn't like I was going to go out networking and pounding the pavement to find what I needed. That wasn't who I was. So, I just asked: for help, places to live, collaborations, business, employment, dollars, friendships, etc. and got to a place where everything in my life simply became a co-creative experience. The co-creative relationship is the ultimate form of working smarter instead of working harder.
In my Rune experience, I would have spent two hours pouring through that book looking for that one line sentence. But leveraging the power of the universe, I was able to save time. The thing about the co-creative experience is that it is ALWAYS in operation. This isn't something you have to deserve, or be worthy of, or bow in prayer for. This is the nature of the Universe or God: It is benevolent, consistent, creative, generous and kind. The question is, do we allow ourselves to take advantage of the help? So, what does it look like, anyway, when we are allowing ourselves to co-create and be in partnership with an energy that creates worlds? First of all, we acknowledge that we are co-creating, that we are co-existing with the divine; that we are not simply humans having a spiritual experience, but that we are spiritual beings having a human experience and that we have help. Second, we start accessing this relationship with small things. Parking spots are a good one to start with. We ask for a parking place in front of our destination. We ask for help locating the files we misplaced. We ask for the name of an old album we can't remember the name of that is out of circulation. We ask for a coupon for cat food. And then we go about our business, expecting to get what we want. We let the universe deliver it in its most magical way. The best way to play with this is to start with something you have no resistance to, where the stakes are relatively low. When you are building your trust in a co-creative partnership, you want to allow yourself to experience the ease and grace in which things can flow. You then have the visceral experience and know that you are not alone. From this, you build faith and can then move into areas that are seemingly bigger. When Abraham-Hicks says "It's as easy to create a castle as it is a button", they are saying that to the universe, it's all the same. Ask and it is given. But to the castle, we have more "noise" in our head, more beliefs of its impossibility, than we do a button, and that "resistance" can impede our receiving. The third thing you want to do is give thanks. Always give thanks. Gratitude is what fuels this relationship. Why? Not because spirit or the universe goes away if you are not grateful, but that gratitude always puts you in a place of allowing, or receiving. And in a grateful state, you are also in a state of receivership for more. More good, more co-creative experiences. More faith in the next time. In giving thanks, you are also doing something else. You are acknowledging that you are in partnership, that you are, in fact, in relationship WITH, and not outside of, an energy that creates worlds. In other words, with a co-creative experience, you are acknowledging that you are in the flow, living in possibility rather than probability. You are giving the Universe a chance to work its magic and, in partnership, deliver you the magical, creative and brilliant life you deserve. Ask for that. And then look for evidence of it all around you. p.s. I go more into depth on the topic of Co-Creation in my January Tele-class because I think it is a vital relationship and one that lends itself to a life of ease, grace and play. If you are interested in learning more about it, join me in my tele-class Live Your Life Out Loud in 2010.

I love this woman. She is one of my inspirations. Talk about a powerhouse! She knows her stuff and speaks the truth. Lately I've been really enjoying her Daily Dream Builder emails. They are short pieces that arrive in your inbox every day and they are free. If you go to her site there will be an button in the upper right hand corner.
If you're not familiar with her, read up on her bio on her site or watch any of her presentation videos. She is amazing:
Mary is also going to be in LA in January with an amazing line up of speakers including Rev. Michael Beckwith, Les Brown, Gay Hendricks, Bob Proctor and others. There is a $100 dollar discount being offered. I hope to make it to this event. If you are in LA, this should be a power packed symposium and a great way to jumpstart your New Year.

BRAD YATES
If you want to get rid of any emotional barriers that stand in the way between you and what you want, EFT is one of the quickest routes to "freedom".
Brad Yates is an "Emotional Freedom Technique" Practitioner known as the EFT Wizard
As Brad says, "It's an abundant universe; a limitless universe and the extent to which we are not experiencing that which we say we want in our life is the extent to which we are resisting it. That resistance comes from our thoughts, or our limiting beliefs and they actually show up as blocks in our energy system. Through tapping on the meridian points, we can actually clear those blocks and experience freedom." He affectionately calls EFT "Mental Floss".
If you struggle with beliefs around money and want to change them, he has a very powerful program he developed with Joe Vitale, from the movie The Secret. The program is called Money Beyond Belief. You can read more about it here ==> http://budurl.com/bradyatesmbbIf you have struggled with weight loss or body image, he developed a program on this as well. It's called (not surprisingly) Body Beyond Belief.
Find out about it here ==> http://budurl.com/bradyatesbbbALSO, Brad came out with a new program this year called Confidence Beyond Belief. On this one he partners with Master Hypnotist, Steve G. Jones and together they combine their best talents to put forth a program that promises to positively boost your confidence level (at a minimal cost)!
I'm a fan of Brad's and highly recommend any and all of his programs.
