Please join us in congratulating the Yale Golf Team and its coach Colin Sheehan, author of Classics of Golf's The United States Amateur: The History and Personal Recollections of Its Champions, on capturing the Ivy Championships last week at Galloway National Golf Club in New Jersey.
The Yale Men's and Women's teams swept the Ivy

Championships on Sunday. This is the first Ivy victory for the Yale men since 2003.
Going into the final round one stroke behind UPenn, the Yale men's team scored a 20 shot victory over Columbia and 23 shots over Penn. The four-over par final round (70, 72, 73, 73:288) was the lowest team score of the event by 14 shots and Yale's four counting scores were four of the five lowest scores of the day.
Sheehan and his team move on to the Regionals at one of six possible locations on May 19-21. The site selections will be announced May 9th.
As for the women, they went into the final round tied with UPenn and shot 293 to clip Harvard by four strokes and Penn by seven.

"Seen through the eyes of all 46 living Amateur champions, [this] is the only comprehensive account of the tournament ever written. Its stories place the reader inside the minds of some of the game's most celebrated competitors and describe what it takes to become a national champion."
