I am very proud to tell you that on Monday, June 8th I will celebrate my 15th year as a leukemia survivor. It's hard to believe that 15 years have passed since my diagnosis back in 1994 and how much has happened in that time. While I will spare you all the details, I would like to tell you that since completing my treatment in 1996, I got married to my wonderful wife Cher and we now have 3 beautiful children. Macie is 6, McKenna is 3 and Norah is 1. I have truly been blessed!
Additionally, with the support of so many, we started Andy's Chapter of Hope back in 1995 to support other families touched by leukemia and raise funds for a cure. I am very proud to tell you that Andy's Chapter of Hope has helped raise over 1 million dollars for the Leukemia Research Foundation in that time.
While much progress has been made in pursuit of a cure there is still more work to be done as too many lives are still lost to leukemia and all blood cancers.
