Have you registered for the Missouri Catholic Conference (MCC) Annual Assembly on Saturday, October 1, at the State Capitol building in Jefferson City?

You might have noticed in earlier communications from the MCC that the first 100 households to register for the Annual Assembly would receive a free copy of Pulitzer Prize-winning historian James M. McPherson's short biography on Abraham Lincoln.

It didn't take long for us to reach 100 registrations.

Didn't get the free Abraham Lincoln book? Don't worry--you still can.

We have ordered 50 extra books. To reserve your copy simply register for the Annual Assembly AND "like" us on Facebook. We'll verify your registration and reserve your copy.

Already registered to attend the Annual Assembly but didn't sign up in time to get one of the first 100 books? You can still "like" us on Facebook and we will reserve your copy of the book. Please e-mail us so we can verify your registration.

The first 50 households to "like" us on Facebook and register for the Annual Assembly will receive the book. Winners must pick up the book the day of the Annual Assembly; books will not be shipped.

The Annual Assembly offers Catholics an opportunity to learn how they can put their faith into action in the public policy arena. This year's Assembly will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War by posing the question: how do we unite a divided nation? Registration is free and Catholics are encouraged to attend. The day ends with a Mass concelebrated by the bishops of Missouri. Please visit our website to register.
