Dear Fellow Rotarian,
The 41st annual charity auction for the Aberdeen Rotary Club will be held at the GHC HUB on April 28, 2012. Please mark your calendar now.
One of your commitments as a member of the Aberdeen Rotary Club is to make a financial contribution or donate an item to be auctioned. The guideline established by the club is a minimum value of $100. As you know, our club does not schedule multiple fundraisers throughout the year - this is our one big event. Please be generous!
Your donations help us raise funds for our foundation that in turn has provided: - $10,000 in annual student scholarships
- Capital improvements at Grays Harbor Community Hospital and AHS Stewart Field
- Support for the annual United Way of Grays Harbor, Foodball and Salvation Army drives
- Support for the YMCA of Grays Harbor "Strong Kids" program, AHS Business Week, and 7th St. Theatre Kids program
- Support for the STEM education initiative at Stevens Elementary School
- Donations to Rebuilding Together-Grays Harbor and Grays Harbor Clothing Bank
- Purchase of Aqua Box water purification and Shelter Boxes for international disasters
- Urgent medical care for low income and homeless students
- Annual distribution of dictionaries to each 4th grader in the Aberdeen and Cosmopolis school districts and the St. Mary School
- And support for many other Harbor organizations...
The Aberdeen Rotary Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in community grants in the past few years. This would not be possible without the proceeds provided by the auction.
Please fill out the donation form below and return it ASAP, so we can make sure to get your items in the printed catalog. For any questions, please call Auction Chair Travis Hoppe (580-1143 cell/txt msg) or Jennifer Sturm (533-1145). Or email us at [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your generous and prompt attention to this, so that we may focus our energy on acquiring donations from non-members.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Sturm, President, Aberdeen Rotary
