World Community Service-Grant Management Workshop

A workshop focused on organizing and managing successful WCS projects and obtaining Future Vision Rotary Foundation and District Grants is being conducted from 8:30 to 3 PM on Saturday, March 12 in Lacey, WA.  The workshop is for Rotarians interesting in learning about international service opportunities. In order to qualify for a grant, the club must have one member who has attended the training. We do not currently have a project identified, but for future planning it would be good to have a member qualified.

67 Years ago in Aberdeen Rotary

At the February 23 meeting - Rotary member "Tate Tatreau  invited the club to Warner Brothers for a special showing of two interesting films.  The first will be Pete Smith Short, entitled "Victory Victuals". The second, a twenty minute color film entitled 'Fighting Engineers".

As an announcement (remember the U.S. is at war in 1943 - Patrick's reminder note!!!)  "George Noe, of the Victory Garden Committee, advised of a series of weekly educational meetings at the Elks Club.  Experts along the various phases of home gardening will speak.  Count up your food ration stamps and you will be there.  George with his usual enthusiasm and energy,is putting this program over in super-duper shape."
