Spokane is currently in 3rd place!

The Lands Council is excited to announce that their project, "Reforest Spokane Day" has been chosen as one of 20 finalists in Tom's of Maine's 50 States for Good challenge.

What does this mean?

This means that should Spokane win,

Tom's of Maine will grant Spokane the funds to allow planting:

with the help of 500 Volunteers
in ONE SINGLE DAY
Right Here in Spokane!!

The mighty Ponderosa Pine is not only a native species to the Inland Northwest, but also: provides much needed shade, reduced traffic noise, and beautifies our city!

Take A Quick Survey On Storm Water Pollution
The City of Spokane's Wastewater Management Department is asking citizens to take a quick, on-line survey to gauge knowledge of stormwater pollution and improve education efforts around this issue.

The survey will only take about 5-10 minutes to complete, and will help the City meet the water quality standards as part of its stormwater discharge permit.
