| SpokaneRoadFix.net Resource for YOU! |
Several road construction projects are planned this spring and summer. Local transportation agencies are taking advantage of low contractor prices by advancing construction projects. That also keeps local people in the construction industry employed during the economic downturn.
We all want to keep our roadways smooth and in good condition. Additional construction projects may mean potential traffic impacts. So, to keep traffic moving and minimize delays, several local transportation agencies teamed up to help you get around efficiently, making sure you know which roadways will be under construction when, and how to get around or through the construction areas.

| Commute Alternatives... |
Less cars means less congestion. Using Spokane Transit leaves the driving to someone else, saves money on gas, parking and vehicle upkeep, and improves the environment by cutting down on air pollution. Spokane County's Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program is a great resource for finding ways to get to work besides driving alone. CTR encourages you to carpool, ride the bus, walk or bike to work and rewards you for it too! There are also an increasing amount of bicycle lanes, trails and other bicycle facilities available for use, and most area streets are classified as shared use roadways for both bicycles and vehicles. So choose your commute alternative today!
