Provide Your Input on Transportation Projects
Open House logoTransportation is key in creating both a vibrant Downtown and a healthy city, and the opportunity for you to provide input on some crucial transportation projects is coming up! On Tuesday, October 26 the public is invited and encouraged to attend an open house to learn about and provide input on upcoming transportation projects, particularly:
  • the University District Pedestrian & Bicycle Bridge
  • the East Sprague Redevelopment Study
  • the Central City Transit Alternatives Analysis

Streetscape Updates Make a "Grate" Downtown!
Thanks to all who have participated in the street tree grant project to replace concrete tree Black Building - new tree gratelids with custom Downtown tree grates, including:
  • The Fernwell Building
  • Jockey Club Building
  • Kiemle & Hagood
  • The Knitting Factory
  • NAI Black
  • The Parkade
  • West 809
These grates feature a custom Downtown Spokane design and significantly improve maintenance access to the street tree irrigation system over the current concrete lids. Contact Andrew Rolwes for more information on how 50% of the costs of the grates can be reimbursed to participating businesses.
