Don't Question Commissioning When it Comes to Lighting Controls

Pop Quiz: What is the biggest heat load in a building that we can control?
If you guessed lighting, you are absolutely correct! In order to justify lighting controls as a value investment for a property, it's crucial that lighting controls systems are calibrated, adjusted, programmed and...can you guess the next word? If you said commissioned, you're correct again!
Lighting controls is one of the last pieces installed in any building and last to get programmed and commissioned. Many times the start-up and commissioning process can be rushed, leaving the lighting controls system and components in a functional, but not optimal operating condition.

Primera Recognized for Industry Awards
 Recently Primera was recognized by Consulting-Specifying Engineer as an MEP Giant. This prestigious award recognizes the top MEP and fire protection engineering firms in the country. Primera was also honored with the announcement that we have been recognized with the Engineering Excellence Merit Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) for the Dan Ryan Pump Station Parking Structure project.

Primera Staff Help Spread Holiday Cheer
In the true spirit of the holiday season, Primera Engineers chose to once again participate in the Adopt-A-Family program in late December. This program allows organizations to provide assistance to families in need, and grants them the opportunity to enjoy the holidays without the stress of financial hardship.
