Primera employees provide relief assistance to Haiti


Engineers to HaitiMany countries and non-profit organizations have responded to calls for humanitarian aid to Haiti following the catastrophic earthquake. We are pleased to inform you that two Primera employees have donated their time and skills in an effort to provide Haitian Schoolsome relief assistance to the people of Haiti. Jay Patel, Vice President/Division Manager Civil Structural and Erin Inman, Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer have both visited Haiti in the months following the quake and continue to be directly involved in recovery efforts from back in the US.

New technologies are being applied to diagnose and correct energy inefficiencies

Home Weatherization

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) is boosting the local economy and reducing energy costs for needy families across the state. Since Illinois has received nearly $1 billion in stimulus funds to benefit energy and environmental initiatives, the Home Weatherization Assistance Program has helped improve energy performance of low-income dwellings using the most advanced technologies and testing protocols available in the housing industry. "Not only is this work personally rewarding, it's a win-win situation," said Curt Knudson, lead Manager for the CEDA Weatherization Project at Primera Construction Group.
