Brazil Botanicals News

Greetings!

I hope this newsletter finds you in good conditions.  We continue to work for a recovery in this economy by keeping our price down and continuing our free shipping offer.  We are working very hard to push onto supermarket and health food store shelves.  The stores that carry our products have a difficult time keeping in stock because of the overwhelmingly increasing demand for Dr. Tim's Exotic Juices.  Please ask your favorite store to carry Dr. Tim's Exotic Juices.  Send them to our web site at www.brazilbotanicals.com for our contact information.  We will be happy to expand into your state and want to become more readily accessible to you in your local market.

Here are customer testimonials we received in the past few weeks:
  • I want to thank you so much for supplying such a great product at an affordable price. My wife has been plagued with Plantar Fasciitis for the past five years, limiting the vacationing we like to do since she could only walk short distances. We have tried several products over the years, including Reliv, and all the recommended exercises and nothing worked. My cousin sells Monavie and we were tempted to try it but couldn't afford it and didn't like the program. I stumbled across Dr. Tim's site while searching on Google and after using the Acai juice for 3 months, her Plantar Fasciitis is gone! She can be on her feet all day and her foot doesn't hurt one bit! I have also been using the Acai and Mangosteen and my Asthma is controlled without the use of Advair, which I've used for years and my eczema is greatly reduced. Thank you so much Dr. Tim!! - Wes A
  • I recieved my Acai juice today and the taste is wonderful!!! We have been taking another brand that tasted pretty awful, now I can't wait til we've finished that to start on yours! I have one question, what makes the BIG difference in the taste?? If you know what I mean. Seems so many things that are good for you aren't especially good tasting. If I would give your juice a score on a scale of 1-10 it would definetly be a big 10!! Do other companies use concentrates to formulate their ACAI juice? Gratefully yours, Georganna Y.
  • Dr. Tim, I called you last week from FL. I just wanted to call and thank you for answering all my questions on this stuff. I have given bottles away to good friends and they, in turn, have ordered 5 or more. They're excited! Thanks for making a good product. We're enjoying it here. - Fred F., Florida

Beware of the "Acai Berry Diet Pill" Scams!

Stock Photo
Beware of the diet scams!  The spurious free trial diet pill offers have now morphed into "The One Flat Stomach Rule" and "Kathy's Diet" or insert your favorite name diet.  They all use the same deceptive promotions from Oprah, ABC News, Rachel Ray and Matt Lauer.  You can go to the original broadcasts from the above mentioned celebrities and see that they absolutely do not endorse any one product.  They do speak of the health benefits of acai.  Another common thread with these minion affiliates is that they all use stock photos of before, middle and after shots of people using their products.

We have researched the source of these photos and found that they are available for purchase and are nothing more than stock photos with no connection to acai or any other diet.  In fact some of these photos have been electronically enhanced.  So please be very careful and don't buy into the "too good to be true" claims of these marketing masters.  And remember that in the end every acai berry is the same, but what makes the difference is how you take care of that berry after it has been picked.  Look for USDA certifications and cold processed juice or puree.  Avoid products that make claims of using the seed in their product.  Get the real thing!

Part 2 - "Taking Control Of Your Healthcare"

This is the second installment of How to Take Control of Your Healthcare.  Over the next couple of months I want to give you some tips on how to talk to your doctor.  Communication is so important when visiting with your doctor.  Paradoxically your doctor may not be giving you enough time to communicate.  A study was done by a prestigious medical university to test the communication skills of doctors.  The amazing and somewhat shocking result was that most doctors will interrupt their patients with in the first 15 seconds of talking.  Since that original study was performed a follow up study was completed indicating some improvement.  Now on the average most doctors wait an astounding 23 seconds before interrupting.  Why are our healthcare guardians so impatient?

Consider these facts.  On the average most doctors will see anywhere from 20 to 40 patients per day.  They will run behind approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes.  They serve on at least one hospital committee , serve their state or county medical association and will need to read on the average 3 professional journals a month.  They are required to complete hours of continuing medical education each year.  Then compound that with the 20 to 40 medical charts they will have to read each day and record everything said and done regarding each patient visit.  I share this with you not for pity sake but to let you know what you are up against as far as getting your doctors' attention.

Keep in mind that you pay for the time with your doctor, whether directly out of pocket or through some insurance carrier.  Your appointment time is your time, so be prepared and use it wisely.  First when you set your appointment make sure you tell the receptionist exactly why you need the appointment.  Write down your questions before hand and don't be afraid to bring them with you to your appointment.  Be polite.  If you do not understand something ask your doctor to explain it in every day terms.  Don't be afraid of your doctor if he talks in big terms or uses unfamiliar words.  And never agree to something for the simple reason that he or she is the doctor and must know what you want or need.  Take responsibility for your part in the healing process.

We like to have a lot of fun here at Brazil Botanicals. ( Did you notice the floating bottle of Dr. Tim's Polynesian Noni in one of the videos?) Life is too serious and too short not find enjoyment in some of the things around us.  We have seen some unique video and You Tube creations from our customers that have both touched us and left us on the ground from laughter.  So I thought we would turn it into a contest.  Come up with a short 1 to 3 minute spot that highlights your experience with Dr. Tim's Exotic Juices.  Then send it to us at  drtim@drtimsjuices.com.   I will personally review all of the entries and we will include them in our video file.  Remember they must be appropriate and tasteful.  Have fun with it.  I look forward to seeing your creations.

Staying Healthy and Fit
at 50, 60, 70, 80, 90  or 100

When we reach these dreaded bigger numbers that end in zero, we naturally begin to think of how we might reach even more zero-digited birthdays.  There are all kinds of diets, exercise programs and millions of "how-to" books on the multiple ways to achieve old age gracefully while preserve our good health.  Most advice boils down to the following good ideas:

·  Watch your diet and stop eating fat-loaded, sugar-laden, man-made, harmful processed foods.

·  Watch what you drink too.  Drink only pure water and pure,  organically-grown, potent natural fruit drinks. Stay well away from unnatural, sugar filled, caffeine loaded drinks. Avoid the nerve-damaging energy drinks that have flooded the market and are numbing people's minds.

·  Exercise the body every day at something you like to do.  Walking a mile a day is easy and a terrific way to stay healthy and limber.  Biking is also fun, and slow doubles tennis matches or golf can be stimulating.  An occasional swim is a fine exercise too.  Deep breathing helps clear the lungs. Avoid any type of tobacco products or alcohol.

·  Use your brain as much as possible by reading a good book a week.  Get involved in some worthwhile service project, perhaps at your church.  Get online to sites that make you think positively.  Make more friends and try to stay happily engaged in good projects.  Try to do more simple gardening.  It's amazing how uplifting and calming it can be when you get your hands and minds working around plants.

·  Finally, try hard to avoid stress and worry.  It's never easy, but do your best.  The old saying "Don't worry! Be happy!" used to amuse me.  I'm no longer laughing at it.
