Davidson Housing Coalition Newsletter January 2009
Welcome to 2009!  The holidays have come and gone, and we at Davidson Housing Coalition are looking forward to the year ahead.  As a friend of DHC, we want to keep you informed about our programs, events, and service opportunities through this quarterly newsletter.  Thank you for your support, and enjoy!   It's going to be a great year.
GailMeet new staff person
Gail Brooks-Lemkin
Gail first served Davidson Housing Coalition this summer as a volunteer, providing assistance to Housing and Financial Literacy Counselor Robin Brown.

Having quickly proved an invaluable help to DHC's homeownership and financial literacy programs, Gail came aboard DHC this fall as a staff person.  She adds energy and experience to our team as an additional Housing and Financial Literacy Counselor.  Originally from New Haven, CT, Gail's professional training includes real estate and counseling.  During her time as a real estate agent, Gail recalls her husband asking, "are you counseling people or selling houses?"  She did, in fact, find that her interest centered in helping people find solutions for their housing needs rather than selling clients homes.  Such experiences, combined with her masters in counseling, prompts Gail to feel that she has come full-circle in joining DHC.
