Did you know that the success of our charity golf event is directly linked to the amount in sponsorships we secure?
We are very grateful to the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation for offering to be our Presenting Sponsor for the second year.
Early responses to this year's tournament suggest that while several of our longtime sponsors are returning, a few must reduce their support or are opting out entirely.
In 2008 we broke all sorts of records, from raising a whopping $43,000 in sponsorships, to growing the number of sponsors to 19 - including law firms, banks, small businesses and many Legal Services friends-- five of which were new to our organization.
While we recognize that "that was so last year" and current economic events might preclude us from breaking any records this year, we still must count on the revenue raised from this event to meet half of our annual fundraising goal. (Last year's tournament netted $48K).
So far, we have $23K in commited golf sponsorships.
Please consider joining your colleagues by adding your firm or company name to our growing list of supporters. Many sponsorship packages are available, details of which can be found at www.mwlegal.org
. Sponsors receive visibility and recognition in the MetroWest area and a host of other benefits. For a list of last year's sponsors, log on to www.mwlegal.org
If you're on the fence, consider this: for $500 MetroWest Legal Services advocates can keep a family of four from becoming homeless; it costs the state between $15,000 and $40,000 to rehabilitate that same family should they become homeless.
Thank you and we hope to see you on the course!
||2009 Sponsor Update |
Many, many thanks go to the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation for supporting this year's tournament as our Presenting Sponsor, and to Nutter McClennen and Fish LLP for their support as a Platinum Sponsor for the past ten years.
Other long-time supporters who have recommitted for this year include McCarter & English, GZA GeoEnvironmental, Framingham Co-operative Bank, Holland & Knight, VP Solutions, Inc.- Computer Consulting, Tyler & Justin Hanchett-Leon and Tristin & Martin Mannion.
The Village Bank joined us last year as a Bronze Sponsor and will re-up this year. Thank you to new Tournament Friend, David Zizik of Zizik, Powers, O'Connell, Spaulding & Lamontagne.
We truly appreciate all of our sponsors, no matter the level, and welcome any support you can give us.
||About the Tournament
Now in its 12th year, the tournament is still going strong. The tournament lays claim to being "the first golf outing of the season", tending to attract the hardiest golfers owing to New England's often unpredictable "spring" weather.
All 11 of our outings have been held at the Framingham Country Club and this year is no exception. The FCC's grounds continue to be maintained impeccably, and upgrades to its facilities mean apres-golf activities, including a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, awards ceremony and dinner, are not to be missed.
