Normal is Not Optimal
My wife, Pat, and I just hosted a booth at the Universal Light Expo in Columbus, OH. We met many people who came up to us and said they knew they are not breathing right. They knew it had some affect on their health and they wanted to know what they could do about it.
They were correct in that they are not breathing right. In fact, just about everyone reading this article is not breathing as well as they could. It is also true that this negatively affects your health. Approximately 95% of population is only getting about half the air their body is meant to get. But you don't have to be doctor to know that oxygen is our most important element for life. Your health and well-being is totally dependent on it. Since oxygen is critical to the body, the absence of oxygen can manifest as many negative conditions within the body. Lack of oxygen can:
- Create harmful free radicals
- Increase anaerobic infectious bacteria and parasite levels
- Promote cancer
- Negatively affect heart disease
- Magnify respiratory illness
- Decrease energy levels
- Negatively impact sleep
- Increase blood pressure
- Elevate stress levels
Clearly there is a link between oxygen levels and well being.
