The Lafayette Urban Ministry Homeless Shelter information is is need of summer volunteers to spend the night. Three volunteers are needed nightly. The volunteers take turns staying awake and are able to sleep for 6 hours in the volunteer room. The hours are from 8:30pm-7:00am. The Riggs Community Health Center is in search of 3 or 4 volunteers to assist with the Baby Corner Program. Staff the store one Wednesday of each month from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Also to re-stock the store and monitor inventory after the store closes on Wednesdays from 3-3:30 p.m. A minimum commitment of six months is required. Have you ever thought about being an Attorney?
Teen Court is a diversion program designed for Juvenile offenders to teach them about the justice system and the consequences for their actions before they become part of the traditional justice system. Teen Court is a sentencing hearing for 12-17 year olds who have already admitted guilt in the crime they committed. Volunteers are needed to prosecute or defend these teens to ensure that they learn from their actions. Court is held most Tuesday Nights from 5:00 - 7:15pm. Delivery Service Needed!
Meals on Wheels is in need of people who are willing to donate a couple hours of their time either on a weekly or fill-in basis. You will need your own car to deliver meals to elderly and disabled recipients of the program. To volunteer contact Nichole Hallada at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Therapeion Therapeutic Riding Center is in need of volunteers to help during riding classes. You will work with our special riders and great horses and they provide equine assisted programs for persons with disabilities, youth at risk, and children who have been abused or neglected.
