Even though the eVaro didn't continue in the X Prize competition it's still as popular as ever. The September issue of Popular Mechanics features 3 vehicles and the eVaro is front and center.

The eVaro is in the body shop getting a brand new paint job (you didn't think we were going to keep it grey did you?) in preparation for this fall's events. George is creating the latest color and it will be magnificent.
 
The team have been driving the eVaro all over town testing the latest code and modifications and it's driving better than ever. The last time I took it out I didn't want to bring it back to the shop. The acceleration was so smooth and powerful I just wanted to drive it forever. It is an amazing experience going all over the lower mainland, not using a drop of gas, and knowing that at no time will you be stranded (because of the onboard generator). Absolutely brilliant. This is the future of the automobile.

Events this fall

 
1.The eVaro will be showcased at PHEV '10 Sept. 13-16 at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Center. This is the premier electric vehicle event in Canada and is for industry only. FVT will be giving 2 presentations on  our company vision and our battery management
technology. For more details visit the  PHEV website.
 
2. The next event is the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association's VEVA Electrafest (REV!2010) Location: Vancouver, Concord Pacific Place - North False Creek. The eVaro will be on display with dozens of other electric vehicles from around the lower mainland. This is a public event and details can be found on the VEVA site.
 
3. BC Innovation Council have invited FVT to showcase the eVaro at the "Connect " Conference October 12th. This is a conference for startup companies and entrepreneurs, so check out the Connect site if you are interested in attending.
