Dear Subscriber
eVaro green
2009 is turning out to be a brilliant year for FVT. We have a new name, a new car name, smashed through 100mpg, and taken great strides in the world of electric drives. We installed our first drive system a year ago and are now designing our own cutting edge drive train from the ground up. The new  "eVaro" could now be one of the most efficient vehicles in the world. We have recieved some great coverage lately from Driving Television , Discovery Channel, and local radio station CKNW.
FVT Breaks 250 mpge

UFV logoAfter 3 years of research FVT broke through 100mpg in February 2009. The eVaro averaged 165 mpge for highway driving and 275 mpge for city driving. The results are now verified by the University of the Fraser Valley and can be viewed here. For a full description of mpge (mile per gallon equivalant) click here.
The eVaro is an electric vehicle with a small on-board gas generator and can travel 125kilometers (80 miles) on battery power. In technical terms it is called a "series hybrid". The generator solves the biggest hurdle with electric vehicles - "how far can I go before I run out of power"?. The eVaro could be one of the only electric vehicles globally that can maintain highway speeds for any distance. When driven on electrical power only the eVaro can travel 1000 miles on $13 of electricity.

X PRIZE Update

X Prize logo
Registration for the Progressive Automotive X-PRIZE is officially closed with 111 teams from 11 countries vying for the prize money. Our X-Prize car is now 40% complete (this is prototype #4). The custom electric motors and controllers have arrived from California and Germany and we are closing in on testing the drive system on our dyno. Very exciting.
We have now had a chance to study all of the teams in the X PRIZE competition and (although there may be someone hiding in the woods) things look very promising. Poplular Mechanics Magazine ranked us in the top 10 back when we were FuelVapor Technologies and 92 mpg. This is going to be a tremendous race and will give FVT a platform to show the world that fuel efficient vehicles are achievable today. To view the complete list of competitors click here.

eVaro front shot
If you live in the BC area FVT is having a shareholder and investor BBQ this Sunday, July 19th from 1:00-6:00. Please RSVP Mike if you would like to join us. Our shop in Maple Ridge is only open once every year or two so it is a great opportunity to talk to the FVT board and get a glimpse of what goes on in our mad workshop.

If you are a BC resident, FVT is now part of a BC government program that allows investors to recieve a 30% tax credit on any investment over $10,000. This is a great way to invest in a high tech start up and get a 30% return in the first year. For further information contact Todd Pratt.

Shares for FVT Research are currently 10 cents each with 600,000 of the 2 million shares already being sold. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, contact Todd at investment@futurevehicletechnologies.com .
Thank-you for your support and remember to tell everyone you know about us! Together we are building a new kind of car and a new kind of car company.

Sincerely,
