United Way of Greater Cincinnati Receives $1 Million Federal "Social Innovation" GrantUnited Way's business strategies and the work we are doing to mobilize communities is getting noticed and attracting resources. Recognizing cutting-edge programs that are creating real community impact, the Corporation for National and Community Service awarded three social innovation grants this year to United Way. That's significant, and it's an affirmation that the innovative work United Way is doing in the Northern Kentucky region and around the country is on target.
In addition to the renewed funding for United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Mile High United Way and United Way for Southeastern Michigan received grants for their work in early childhood learning. These grants are good news for all of us and show that our community impact strategies and the Campaign for the Common Good are taking us in the right direction. This is a proud moment not only for our colleagues in Cincinnati, Denver and Detroit, but for our entire network. Together, our work in education, income and health is helping mobilize volunteers and resources, and it's strengthening our communities!
