Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign - People Helping People: A Kentucky Tradition
KECC CHRONICLE - JULY 21, 2011
The 2011 KECC Kickoff!

Sec. Marcheta Sparrow, 2011 KECC Chair

The 2011 Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign kicked off on Tuesday, July 19 with a showcase of Kentucky's finest!  Special thanks to Kentucky musicians Carla Gover and the Downtown County Band for providing the entertainment, and to local personalities Jack Pattie (WVLK 590, Lexington) and Cindi Sullivan (WAVE 3, Louisville) for their inspiring stories.

In addition to great music and great food, the History Center offered free tours of the "Kentucky Experience", and several lucky state employees won valuable state park packages and other Tourism-themed giveaways.

Most importantly, Secretary Marcheta Sparrow announced this year's KECC goal -- $1.27 million to help our fellow Kentuckians!  In the coming weeks, volunteers across state government will work alongside representatives from the six KECC charities to showcase another Kentucky tradition...your generosity!  Take a moment to look through your KECC brochure, visit the KECC website (kecc.org), and most of all, please make a pledge.  Large or small, your gift changes lives right here in Kentucky communities.  Want to learn more?  Visit kecc.org/video.html!

Very special thanks to the employees of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet who helped make this event possible!
