Maui - Mother/Goddess Energy
On our trip to Maui we met an array of fascinating people and visited a variety of shrines, temples, dharma centers and heiaus. We met a gifted Hawaiian healer, Bula Logan, and had the opportunity to receive healing from him and to talk about his traditional healing methods. We also visited with an elderly Shinto priestess, paid our respects at a Buddhist temple, and soaked in the peace at power spots and came to appreciate the special energy of Maui. We even had the opportunity to participate in helping to restore native habitat at a local beach which had been a homeless encampment. (Yes even Maui has a homeless population.) The trees we planted were Naio, which are also called "bastard sandlewood". It was a great opportunity to assist in healing the land of Hawai'i.
