This spring we launched our Healthy Trees, Healthy Kids! initiative to plant 1,000 young shade and fruit trees by 2015 at school campuses in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, and neighboring communities.

In an article covering the need for shade in urban schools and parks, USA TODAY recognized Canopy's most recent planting of 200 trees in East Palo Alto.

We are happy to see national recognition for our efforts, and we hope this will inspire you to join and get involved!

Please support our program by making a donation, volunteering with Canopy, or sharing our good work with your friends and neighbors.  Tonight is the last night in our fiscal year, so any support you can lend will help determine how many trees we can plant next year.

Thank you for supporting Canopy!

"Wow, what a thrill it is to see the transformation that resulted from your hard work. What a great job you all did with this project.  And even more special is that you involved the students, parents and community in this event!  On behalf of our district I offer you our most sincere gratitude.

Thank you!"
