The meaning of Lent
The meaning of Lent
Greetings!

On Ash Wednesday, we began the season of Lent.  We remember how Jesus stepped out into the desert, leaving his life behind, in order to listen to God.

Lent is a time of reflection, prayer and discipline.  It is a chance to make things right.

If you are unsure what to do for Lent, here are some questions to ponder...

Is there a relationship that I need to heal this season?

Is there a book that I need to read about God?

Do I need to study and learn more about a certain subject?

Do I need to find some quiet time with God?

Is there some way that I can directly sacrifice in order that those who live in extreme poverty will suffer   little less?

Am I being faithful to finding time to be with my family, friends?

Do I need to move my body more?

Are there foods that I should refrain from, foods that I rely on for comfort as I should rely on God?

Ponder these and other questions that may arise in your heart and find a way to move closer to God during these forty days.

Have a blessed Lent.

In Christ's love,

Kate+
