Greetings!
I met with Bonnie Grissett a few days ago. She lay in her hospital bed and spoke about her love of the Cathedral. I asked if I could write her words down and share them with you. She said yes:

The chur

Bonnie Grissett
ch has been good to me ever since I walked through the door. I came in the early '80s. My kids were at Episcopal. Don Wimberly was the dean. I went into the church itself and they were moving everything around. The cathedral had so much to offer my teenagers so we moved to the cathedral.

Both of my boys were acolytes. They were active in the youth group and I joined the Sanctuary Guild. I loved preparing for worship and helping people take communion. It is so special because everyone who comes to the communion rail gets the affirmation that they are God's child. I get that too.

My parents had a grocery store and they made me work there. I had to learn a lot about people early on. I love people.

When I got cancer this time it hit hard. People began praying for me and I can feel it. This church has always been there for me. I am so blessed.

Please join me in praying for Bonnie and rejoicing in her grateful spirit.
