| Support our third-party fund-raisers
Concert, foot race are among programs to benefit NKF-MD
Third-party fund-raisers are a great way for NKF-MD to bring in revenue to support our programs and services in the community. Generous individuals create fund-raising events, do all the hard work, and share the proceeds with the Foundation.
Autumn brings several of these fund-raisers. Enjoy lunch, dinner or just drinks at the Towson Greene Turtle on Tuesday, Sept. 29, and 10 percent of all sales that day will be donated to NKF-MD. The Greene Turtle is located at 408 York Road. We hope to see you there!
Ryan Weir, son of NKF-MD board member Matthew Weir, M.D., is once again raising money for the Foundation by running in the Oct. 10 Baltimore Marathon. This year, Ryan is doing the half-marathon and hoping to raise $10,000. Learn more and make a pledge here.
An Oct. 13 concert at Goucher College featuring folk music legend Richard Thompson and singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III, pictured at right, also will benefit NKF-MD. Find details and ticket information here.
We are very grateful to all of our dedicated fund-raising partners. Please check our website often to learn more about these interesting and fun events. |

Thought for the day
"Nothing that grieves us can be called little: by the eternal laws of proportion, a child's loss of a doll and a king's loss of a crown are events of the same size."
