What is the Berklee City Music Network?
The Phoenix Conservatory of Music is paving the way for kids to become more accomplished, more confident, and more influential in the world of Music.
As a new network affiliate of Berklee City Music Network (A Nation Wide Network of music schools that celebrate contemporary music and provide quality music instruction to underserved communities), The Phoenix Conservatory of Music will begin to integrate PULSE Music Method helping young and talented musicians attain successful careers in the music industry has never been more exciting!
The Berklee PULSE Music Method (Pre-university Learning System Experience) gives kids the benefits of a Berklee education no matter where they live. Whether a student interested in instrumental and vocal training, ensemble performance or musicianship development through the music of today, the PULSE Music Method makes it happen. And PULSE is even more than music. It is an online community where students can network and absorb positive influences. This proven state-of-the-art online method of teaching gives students access to caring, professionally trained instructors and invaluable learning material. By participating in an online community that provides interactive music experiences and social networking between peers, these students feel less disenfranchised and more connected, helping to build their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. They become better musicians and more productive members of society. This program, designed by the faculty at Boston's well known Berklee College of Music, continues to be an avenue for students 4th through 12th grades to be familiar with this prestigious institution and to pursue their dreams of becoming musicians, teachers, arrangers, composers-anyplace their talent can take them.
The Phoenix Conservatory of Music is proud to have a role in the lives of our talented youth and continue to help them fulfill their dreams. This entails not only providing them with an education in their passion, but also demonstrating how this passion can fuel a career.

As an organization who can appreciate quality arts experiences and loves contemporary music, we know that we can deliver a high quality program to our community! The affiliation with Berklee and the use of their amazing college preparatory interactive online curriculum will not only enhance our programs and lessons but offer an invaluable tool for students to develop their craft and hone their skills in a way that is relevant to their lives. We have some great community partnerships that are working with us to launch this program. As part of our affiliation the Berklee City Music Network, the Phoenix Conservatory of Music will be aggressively raising funds for a scholarship program, so underserved, economically disadvantaged, inner city kids in 4th through 12th grades will be able to take advantage of this amazing curriculum. With financial assistance, we hope to scholarship at least 20 students this year, and 2 of our students will have an opportunity to attend the Berklee Summer Camp in Boston on a scholarship! This is a potentially life changing experience for kids right here in our community! We truly are seeking like minded individuals who want to see these students engage in something outside of themselves, be creative thinkers, and succeed!
