The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust provides funding for Phoenix Conservatory of Music and Ear Candy Collaboration
Phoenix, AZ - September, 2010 - The Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust has provided a $25,000 grant to deepen the collaborative efforts of the Phoenix Conservatory of Music and Ear Candy Charity. Both organizations are dedicated to providing youth access to music education and currently partner on after school music programs with the community partners such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix and the Scottsdale Public Library.
"These resources are an amazing catalyst for the partnership between our organizations," stated Executive Director Regina Nixon of The Phoenix Conservatory of Music. "Our missions and our methods are very complementary, and by working together we can be more effective and impactful in serving our community. It is our shared vision to design and implement useful resources and programs for our community and provide a full continuum of services in the out of school time (afterschool) environment as a solution for music education that you can't find anywhere else."
"In these hard times, the Piper Trust is pleased to offer a collaborative grant to Phoenix Conservatory of Music and Ear Candy to continue their joint ingenuity in ensuring that children have the opportunity to experience the joy of music," said Carol Kratz, Piper Trust program director.
"These resources are exactly what we need to take our partnership with PCM to the next level," stated Ear Candy's Founder & President, Nate Anderson. "We have been an awesome job of collaborating so far and with music education cuts at an all time high, the need for a fine oiled partnership like ours is critical to the community."
The organizations will begin using the funds this fall to increase revenue streams, develop new collaborative programming partners as well as decrease costs through shared resources.
