The Phoenix Conservatory of Music introduces Lovenotes™, a prenatal music program for expectant couples!
Phoenix, AZ - August 26, 2008 - The Phoenix Conservatory of Music (PCM) proudly announces Lovenotes™, a unique program for expectant couples who wish to use music as a bonding language with their unborn child. This five-week program is being offered at the Phoenix Conservatory of Music, located at 7801 N. Black Canyon Highway, Phoenix, AZ. Classes are held on Tuesdays, beginning 9-9-08 from 7:20-8:30 PM. The fee is $150.00 and is instructed by Rebecca A. Cairo.
The Lovenotes™ program was developed by internationally recognized music educator, Dr. Lorna Zemke of Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Research has found that in the fourth or fifth month of pregnancy, an unborn child can hear sounds from the outside world. By using the voice as the natural instrument, along with folk songs, musical instruments, rhythm and movement, the Lovenotes™ program establishes loving communication and a strong bond between the baby and family members.
The instructor, Rebecca A. Cairo, is a doctoral candidate in Music Education and Early Childhood Studies at Arizona State University. She holds a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education. Lovenotes™ instructors are trained by Dr. Lorna Zemke of Silver Lake College.
Classes are forming now. There is a class minimum of two couples and a class maximum of four couples. Space is limited, so please register online now at www.pcmrocks.org or by phone at 602-353-9900. If you are interested in the class, but are not yet in your fifth to ninth month of pregnancy, please call and we'll add your name to our waiting list for the next class that you qualify for.
