Healthy Kids Day 2009
YMCA Healthy Kids Day participants play Dance Dance Revolution

The 12th Annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day took place on Saturday, April 18th at the YMCA. Over 196 children and parents attended the Health Fair which consisted of many fun and free activities.

All children who attended received a "Goodie bag" loaded with fun, active and educational toys and tips for children and families on healthy eating and physical activity.

Additionally, 22 exhibitors were on hand to speak to parents and children about health, physical activity, healthy eating and safety in the home and on the road. Some of the entertaining and educational things for attendees to do included tumbling and Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, a large obstacle course, the "activity based video game" - Dance, Dance, Revolution and Safety Town where kids drove go-cart-like bicycles between small houses and factories learning to obey traffic signals.

Sponsors of YMCA Healthy Kids Day include The YMCA of the USA, Tropicana®, Huggies Little Swimmers®, The Disney Channel, Northwester Mutual® Foundation and Eli Lilly.

A big thanks to everyone who attended. We look forward to seeing you again next year!!
