Summer classes began Monday June 9.
However, it's not too late to sign-up for swim lessons, group cycling, 1 on 1 personal boxing, Thai-Chi, summer day camp or any of the other fun classes this summer designed to promote a healthy spirit-mind-body.

Scary Fun! Exotic Animals visit Y-Kids
|
 An intrigued Y-Kid attempts to touch a tarantula during exotic animal day at the YMCA
June 4, 2008 - Y-Kids got a chance to learn about exciting wildlife from around the world as Exotic Animals Show of Chicago visited the YMCA on Wednesday, June 4. Deciding to forgo the typical year-end pizza party, Y-Kid staff treated the kids to the exciting world of exotic animals, which included a tarantula (pictured above), arctic fox, alligator, chinchilla, hissing cockroaches, buzzard and hedgehog.

Wet and Wild 1-Day Event

Parents! Looking for a fun family-event for your child and/or yourselves to participate in this summer?
The West Cook YMCA is organizing a 1-day trip to a local water park on Tuesday, August 19 from 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Children ages 7 - 15 are welcome to attend without a parent or parents are invited to tag along with their children of any age.
Please bring a towel, swimsuit, change of clothes, lunch, sunscreen, and drink (no glass please!)

Summer Day Camp sign-up
Summer Day Camps began in earnest at the West Cook YMCA on June 9th. However, it's not too late to get your child involved in the fun this summer. Day camps run in week long sessions through August 15. Choose from a wide variety of camps that promote the YMCA 4 core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.
