Did you know that you can "freeze" a part number to ensure no changes can be made to the process, which includes routings, bill of materials, process instructions, routing narrative, images, specifications, tools, gages, and quality characteristics.
Select Freeze Item Process
from the Engineering Master Menu. This is helpful when your customer has approved a First Article and wants insurance that no changes will be made to the process. To remove a "freeze", select "thaw". |

Guardian Software Systems will be releasing 7.16.0000 of the Guardian Foundry System the week of June 6th, 2011. If you are under Guardian's Support Program, please check your version number and verify you have the latest release. | Guardian Announces Contract Review Management | | Most foundries who have been through a certification audit have found they are required to have in place some form of a Contract Review Process. Whether your company is faced with a very stringent requirement to provide documentation on every step of the review process or as simple as just verifying the revision level, Guardian's new Contract Review Module can help. By using Guardian Software System's Contract Review Module, a set of predefined review requirements can be set to ensure that the review process is performed completely and to the same set of rules each and every time.
By utilizing the power of Guardian's Alert System, all predetermined Alert Recipients will receive an Alert Notification when a line item on a sales order has been marked as requiring a contract review. This Alert notifies each Alert Recipient that a new contract review is required and that they must now perform their portion of the review process for the given line item on a sales order.
By double clicking on the body of the email, the individual steps required for the Alert Recipients to review are displayed. As each step of the review process is completed, the recipient will disposition his/her individual review sequences with a pass, fail, or N/A. A narrative area is also available to the recipient to provide further definition of the review results.
To review the status of a Contract Review, inquires and reports are available. |
