months
We, at Guardian Software Systems, are very excited for this upcoming year.  Enhancements to the Guardian Foundry System over the last several months of 2009 are scheduled for deployment in 2010.

Guardian's emphasis for 2010 is to take the Guardian foundry System to a whole new level that has never been offered from any foundry specific software before. The introduction of Guardian's Quality Module along with enhancements to the CertificationSerialization, and Alerts Modules are just a few of the projects Guardian Software Systems has been working on over the last couple of months.  Perhaps the most exciting enhancement is the PLC-less Interface allowing Guardian the ability to communicate with machines on the shop floor, without a dedicated PLC .

.                    We are ready for 2010!

QualityGuardian Releases New Quality Module
During the manufacturing process, products are produced in accordance with a standard set of rules and procedures.  Quality data must be collected to insure you are adhering to these standards and the results must be reported to management for review. Most likely your foundry is doing some form of quality testing and reporting off line in a separate application.  Guardian's new Quality Module insures that you make quality checking and reporting  an integral part of your day to day operations.

The ability to define your quality attributes is available in the Professional and Enterprise Versions of the Guardian Foundry System.   Attributes may be tied to a specific routing process or several attributes can be consolidated to one routing sequence for a single step inspection procedure. Characteristics are then defined for each attribute such as serial numbers required, specifications needed, check percentage, and is the test qualitative ( pass/fail) or quantitative ( min/max).  These values are displayed for the operator to view on the printed process instruction sheets and the Touch Screen Labor Ticket Maintenance.

The ability to record results is available in the Enterprise Version.  Operators record results either via the Touch Screen Labor Ticket Maintenance or the new Quality Detail Update Screen.  Reports, alerts, and graphs will be available soon.

GuPLC-lessardian Announces PLC-less Interface
No longer is it necessary to have a PLC in order to track such data as temperature, humidity, runtime and event counts.  Through the use of Guardian's PLC-less Interface, sensors feed information to the Guardian Foundry System for the monitoring of data.  This data can then be used for generating reports and graphs or the automatic generation of email alerts based on the sensor's conditions.

For more information on this interface, please contact Tim Borchardt at timb@guardiansoft.com

Enhancements to Certification, Serialization and Alert Modules.
CertificationsCertifications:  Guardian Software Systems has taken the hassle out of preparing certifications to help you meet your customer's requirements by providing the ability at the the time of shipment for mechanical, chemical, NDT,  and Certificate of Conformance Certifications.  Guardian Software Systems will be expanding the list of available Pre-Defined Certificates throughout all of 2010.

SerializationPart Serialization and Traceability:  Guardian Software Systems includes the ability to assign serial numbers and track serialized parts throughout the course of the manufacturing process.  Serial numbers may even be followed through the splitting of a work order.  This process can be used for any or all parts that need serialization or it can be limited to just the parts that deviate from the original process and are re-routed through production.

AlertsAlerts:  Guardian Software Systems is continually adding additional alert scenarios to it's already powerful real-time event driven or on-demand "Alerts" messaging system.  This allows managers and operators with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently within the Guardian Foundry System.  See the New Alerts section for the list new alerts available in the latest release.
