Greetings!

As you will see these last two months have been filled with many activities for Guardian Software Systems including our User Group Meeting and CastExpo '08.

We have also been busy just keeping up with the weather here in Wisconsin.  We recently had 11 tornadoes pass though the area with flooding due to severe thunderstorms.  We sure could use some sunny days.
 Guardian Attends CastExpo '08

CastExpo '08 was held May 17th thru May 20th in Atlanta, Georgia.  We always look forward to visiting with our existing clients as well as the opportunity to meet many new faces.

Since we have been back we have been busy sending out literature to all individuals that stopped by our booth and have been scheduling demonstrations.  If you have not received your literature or would like to schedule a demonstration please contact Jenny Gladczak at jennyg@guardiansoft.com .

Guardian Software also debuted a new video produced by Mindpool Productions.  Thank you to all that took to time to watch our new video.

Certification Sub Committee Met Prior to Users Group

                                  sub committee

Guardian had received a number of request from our existing clients pertaining to physical certification and serialization.  Prior to the users group,  these users were invited to discuss their specific requirements and share their ideas how Guardian could help with these requirements.  This group consisted of members from American Foundry Group, Pure Casting Co., Wisconsin Precision Casting Co., and Yankee Casting.
Guardian's 2008 User Group Was a Success.

On April 29th and 30th, a group of Guardian's users met in Oconomowoc, WI for Guardian's Software's 2008 User Group meeting.  The meeting began with an introduction and over overview of Guardian's newest module " Paperless Routing and Touch Screen Data Collection."  The group then boarded a bus and headed out to Wisconsin Precision Casting to see how they have implemented this module.

After the tour the entire group went out for dinner, drinks, and Le Duc's Frozen Custard.  This was a nice time for users to get to know each other and a good time was had by all.

The following day was down to business.  The agenda included presentations from Guardian on "State of Guardian Software"  "Upcoming Programming Changes", "New Hardware/Software Considerations", "Certifications", "Advance Shipping Notices", "Preventative Maintenance" and "Corrective Action".

The next session was lead by Jogi Makhani of American Foundry Group and Cliff Fischer, of Wisconsin Precision Casting.  During this time the users had a chance to talk amongst themselves and develop a list of ideas, changes, and suggestions which they then prioritized and presented to Guardian.

A big thanks go out to all the foundries that participated in our 2008 Guardian Users Group.  Your input and suggestions were invaluable.  It is because of you,  we have made such great strides with the Guardian Foundry System.

Our next users group meeting will be held in 2010.  American Foundry has graciously volunteered to host this meeting.  Tours will be at their facility in Oklahoma.   Processes employed at their facility are Green Sand, Air Set and Investment.
