grand fi·nal·e (noun)
a very spectacular ending of a performance or show In Sandy's opinion grand finale could be a description for fall. Fall is when Mother Nature gives one last spectacular show of color before everything is put to bed for the long colorless winter. Enjoy the show.

Creative Grids Strip Ruler

45 ruler Half Square Triangles

from Jelly Rolls.

Use the straight side of this single strip ruler to cut 2 1/2" strips - or use the pre-cuts that are on the market. Turn the ruler around to cut half-square triangles that finish 2". Place two strips of fabric - right sides together - and cut 9 pair of half-square triangles at one time without wasting any fabric. The holes in the ruler enable the rotary cutter to cut the triangles without damaging the ruler. The  exclusive embedded gripper dots hold the fabric while cutting when pressure is applied.

Kitsap Quilts of Valor Group

A Kitsap QOV group is getting started! The goal is to get together once a month and make quilt tops for Quilts of Valor. For information about the national Quilts of Valor visit their website. The meetings will be held at Quilted Strait in Port Gamble on the second Monday of the month. The first meeting will be Monday September 12, starting at 10 am. Please bring your standard sewing supplies including sewing machines. For this meeting we will be making strip quilts using 2 1/2" strips (same size as jelly rolls!). Please bring a variety of strips in red, blue and golden beige or light beige prints or colorways. Bring an equal number of each. 30 strips makes about one-half of a quilt. We will be combining strips with each other, so bring what you can, pre-cut. We will have the room from 10 am to 5pm so come when you can.If you have questions please call Carol Olsen at 206-780-0379 or drop her an email.

The mission of the QOV Foundation is to cover ALL those service- members and veterans touched by war with Wartime Quilts called Quilts of Valor (QOVs).?This foundation is not about politics. It's about people.
