January 2011. Our quilt features fabrics from Kinkame of Japan as well as Cross Woven solids from Moda.

Basket Bounty is a 10 month Block of the Month quilt, each star block features a different basket. This Block of the Month is available in two colorways - the Charlevoix colorway pictured as well as the Dominique colorway. There will be a wool applique option coming soon also for the Dominique colorway.

Kim Diehl , January 21st and 22nd, 2011.  Kim will teach two projects from her new book due out in October 2010. One will be a wool project and the other will be Front Porch posies, one of her signature combined pieced and applique quilts.

Barbara Shapel, March 24th and 25th, 2011. She will be teaching her thread embellishment techniques with her original patterns.

Featured Quilt Shows

The first featured quilt show in this newsletter is the Home Machine Quilting Show (HMQS) show which took place in May of 2010 in Salt Lake City Utah. The photos are on Paula Reid's blog - where she has some wonderful close-ups of the quilting for inspiration (OK...and just to gaze at in awe). You can click on the HMQS links on the right hand side of the blog to see more blog entries with more quilts.

The second show is from the National Association of Italian Patchwork, Quilting and Needlework Group.
