Welcome ,
In the game of life, we are all given opportunities to do good deeds and to become better people by way of helping someone else. Small acts of kindness can go a very long way in nurturing the spirit and dignity of others and yourself. I'd like to share a story with you about an act of kindness that was bestowed upon my family and I last week.
While vacationing in Florida, we ate dinner at a popular Italian chain restaurant; a visit that started out as mediocre and ended as great. Why you ask? Because of the service. Our waiter was a clean cut, well spoken young man with a wonderful personality. My husband and I ordered a pizza and salad with grilled chicken to split and our son ordered spaghetti. Upon delivering the salad to the table, I noticed that the grilled chicken wasn't thoroughly cooked. Losing my interest for the salad, I returned it to the waiter who quickly apologized and asked if we wanted something else. Soon thereafter, the manager visited our table to apologize for the problem with our meal. We spoke briefly and told him it was no big deal and to please just take the salad off of the bill. Not only did he do that but he told our waiter that dessert was on the house for all of us.
This may not sound like much to you, but it was the combination of the waiter and manager being so attentive and sincere along with the act of kindness in giving us all free dessert that set this visit apart. The willingness to address the problem and make it right left us feeling like valued customers. Going the extra mile in today's world means a lot and taking good care of your customer's can yield tremendous benefits for you.
How well are you taking care of your customers? Can they tell a story about receiving outstanding service like the one above? Keeping track of your customer stats, both good and bad, demonstrates a willingness to develop and nurture strong relationships. In this newsletter, you can learn about the great benefits being offered in the latest and greatest version of ACT! Customer Relationship Management software by Sage.
Happy reading...

RFID - What Does It Mean? by Harold Westover |
Recently, I attended a technology conference where I earned my RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) certification in Asset Management and Inventory and Manufacturing Processes. You may ask yourself what has that got to do with me? Possibly nothing; possibly everything. The world is changing rapidly and your company may be forced into technology that isn't even currently on your radar. Many companies are being told to keep up or be left behind. RFID is an automatic identification technology whereby digital data encoded in an RFID tag or "smart label" is captured by a reader using radio waves. Put simply, RFID is similar to bar code technology but uses radio waves to capture data from tags, rather than optically scanning the bar codes on a label. RFID does not require the tag or label to be seen to read it's stored data - one of the key characteristics of an RFID system. How Does It Work?
Information is sent to and read from RFID tags by a reader using radio waves. In passive systems, which are the most common, an RFID reader transmits an energy field that "wakes up" the tag and provides the power for the tag to respond to the reader. In active systems, a battery in the tag is used to boost the effective operating range of the tag and to support additional features over passive tags, such as temperature and humidity sensing. Data collected from tags is then passed through communication interfaces (cable or wireless) to host computer systems in the same manner that data scanned from bar code labels is captured and passed to computer systems for interpretation, storage, and action.
What Does It Mean For You?
Companies are being forced into bar coding and RFID technology and risk losing business by not getting on the band wagon. Wal-Mart and Sam's Club are the driving force. Tougher regulations are going into effect and even more stringent requirements will become effective January, 2009. The future is here and now and Warrior wants to be there to ease the process for you by offering the right products and services.
