KEDA Board of Director's Retreat - Selling the Kitsap Story

Earlier this month KEDA's Board of Directors cleared their calendars and participated in a productive and engaging 24-hour retreat at IslandWood. The retreat focused on strengthening board relations and effectiveness; enhancing board members knowledge of Kitsap's economic development assets and role in the region; and strategies for leveraging board leadership capacity and social political capital to more effectively tell and sell Kitsap's story. The board also benefited from the perspective and experiences shared by numerous speakers including Hal Calbom of Sustainable Media Group; David Allen, executive vice president of McKinstry; Scott McFarlane, CEO of Avalara Tim Thomson, CEO of
the Port of Bremerton; and Senator Christine Rolfes. Please join us in thanking our board members for making this a successful event and for their leadership and dedication to building a strong and vibrant economy for Kitsap County. We are excited and energized about Kitsap's future and look forward to what we can accomplish together. On Kitsap!
