• NAVFAC NW has issued a Pre-Solicitation notice for construction of a second Explosives Handling Wharf (EHW) adjacent to the existing EHW located in Hood Canal at the Naval Base Kitsap - Bangor, WA. The project location is on the industrial waterfront within the waterfront restricted area. Access to the waterfront restricted area requires a security clearance. Additionally, the site is located in areas subject to periodic emergency and security operation drills. Pre-qualifications due July 1, 2011.

Call for Demonstrations -- The 2011 Pacific Northwest Defense Symposium is now accepting proposals for demonstrations on the evening of 17 August in conjunction with the opening reception. The last day to submit demonstration proposals is July 8, 2011. Please complete the online form prior to the closing date. Accepted demonstration proposals will be free for event sponsors or booth holders. For those not participating in the symposium as a sponsor, a fee of $250 will apply for accepted applications.
