Washington Vendor Education Seminars -- Washington State's Department of General Administration's annual Vendor Education Seminars are now open for registration. The seminars are open to all vendors and contractors who want to do business with government.

- Network and initiate relationships for future partnering
- Learn how the contracting process works for government
- Gather important resource information that can help your company thrive
The seminars will feature training to help vendors successfully bid on government contracting opportunities. The same training sessions will be offered in both Tacoma and Spokane. The deadline for registration for the Tacoma seminar is April 15th and for the Spokane seminar, May 20th.

- Not only does the Federal Business Opportunities website provide listings of current RFPs, sources sought and other projects -- it also has a listing of small business events sponsored by government agencies.
- The Pacific Northwest Region (Region 6) of the Forest Service maintains an Advanced Acquisition Plan lists proposed contracts for the current fiscal year. You can find it online -- the website provides:
- complete list of projects that are planned for the current fiscal year
- what solicitations are currently "on the street"
- recently awarded contracts
- If you're in the business of food, Foodhub is website worth checking. - Seattle Housing Authority hosts an informal gathering for vendors on Last Friday Drop-In Days. With few exceptions, the "Last Friday" of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., staff from Seattle Housing's purchasing division will welcome vendors, contractors and consultants interested in doing business with the agency.
