NAVFAC NW 8(a) Business Outreach -- Feb. 24, 2011 (noon to 3 p.m.) in the Mary Bonnin Room in the Naval Undersea Museum, Keyport. The outreach event will include an overview of Navy safety program requirements and networking opportunities. Small 8(a) businesses attending should be prepared to provide a line card or capabilities statement. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required -- contact Steve Shapro, NAVFAC NW Deputy for Small Business at 360.396.0038 or steve.shapro@navy.mil to RSVP. Specific areas of interest for construction related projects at Bangor, Keyport and Indian Island are:
- roofing
- road paving including gravel

Alliance NW Conference - March 10, 2011
Opportunities for this small business and trade show is led by the WA State PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center) with the support of federal agencies and state offices. This event is a partnership to provide businesses with a single day of networking and procurement training opportunities.
Mr. Sean Crean, Director for the Department of the Navy's Office of Small Business Program is speaking at the event. Other speakers include NUWC Keyport's Mr. Steve Osburn on the topic of NUWC Keyport and how his department tackles supply support. |
