Greetings!
One year ago, I joined EFJohnson as CEO and made a commitment to you that our company was rededicated to delivering the highest quality products and service. Looking back at our accomplishments in 2011, I think you will agree that we've made tremendous progress toward achieving this vision.
Our most notable accomplishment in 2011 was the introduction of the ATLAS P25 System Solution. The launch of this new system positions EFJohnson as your one-stop shop for cost-effective, full-service communications solutions.
ATLAS is one of the most robust, flexible, and innovative P25 system solutions in the market. Its unique distributed architecture enables maximum flexibility and scalability, accommodating everything from single-sites to statewide networks. As user needs evolve, so does the ATLAS P25 System through the addition of new sites and easy configuration changes. The product was well-received at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Conference and Expo and was spotlighted as one of APCO's Hot Products for 2011.
As part of our ongoing efforts to augment our service, EFJohnson introduced The Responder, a quarterly electronic newsletter designed to keep you updated with the latest EFJohnson news. In addition, we distributed our annual customer survey to solicit your feedback about our performance. Plans are in development for more customer communications tools to roll out in 2012 that will further enhance your service experience.
EFJohnson achieved a great deal in 2011, and we are excited about the new opportunities lined up for 2012. We look forward to sharing these new opportunities with you as we continue working to support your mission critical goal to protect and save lives.
Sincerely,
Andy Adams, CEO

As the initial phase of WISCOM (Wisconsin Interoperable System for Communication) nears completion, EFJohnson is now working with the Wisconsin Statewide System Management Group to implement the next stages of the statewide emergency communications system. This includes implementation of a county connection program, integration of the Wisconsin State Patrol and development of a new communications system for Taylor County.
Recently, the Statewide Management Group implemented a funded county connection program to foster system interoperability with each of the state's primary public safety answering points (PSAPs). The program provides Wisconsin counties with one equipment option to connect its primary dispatch center to WISCOM. Equipment options include a control station radio, a gateway device or a StarGate dispatch console. The program also covers costs associated with installation and necessary peripheral hardware. Work associated with the county connection program is slated for completion in mid-2012.

A cobblestone in EFJohnson's name will permanently line the National September 11 Memorial. The company received a cobblestone sponsorship in recognition of its financial support for the project through a partnership with Mission Critical Communications.
The Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, PA, and at the Pentagon, as well as the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993. It was dedicated on September 11, 2011 - the 10th anniversary of this national tragedy.
The National September 11 Museum will serve as the country's principal institution for examining the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring the continuing significance of September 11, 2001. It will open in 2012.
Out of respect for the victims, cobblestones will not be inscribed with donor names. Donor cobblestones may be located by entering the name of the company or individual into an electronic directory located on the Memorial plaza.
We encourage each of our customers to join us in supporting The National September 11 Memorial and Museum. For more information, or to make a donation, visit http://www.911memorial.org.

Project 25
Phase II
As public safety networks continue to evolve and achieve greater levels of interoperability, there are a host of different next generation technologies that offer public safety agencies with a multitude of capabilities, features and protocol options to improve user experience and network performance. One such technology that has been receiving a lot of focus and attention is the evolution of the APCO P25 standard to the P25 Phase II protocol. In this white paper, we present EFJohnson's perspective on the evolution of the standard and the key considerations for public safety networks as they plan to evolve their system for the future while continuing to maximize their investment and achieve interoperability goals across multiple agencies.
