Cooperstown Summer Music Festival

Greetings!  

    

Festival Artistic Director and flutist Linda Chesis is marking her 25th year of teaching at Manhattan School of Music.  A concert celebrating this achievement will be held on Sunday, January 29 at 7:30 pm, and features Linda Chesis and:  

  • Liang Wang, principal oboe of the New York Philharmonic;
  • Bryan Wagorn, pianist;  
  • members of the American String Quartet (in a work by Ferdinand Ries which they performed in Cooperstown last summer) and  
  • MSM flute students who perform Angels and Devils by Henry Brant, conducted by  Michael Parloff (former principal flute of the Metropolitan Opera).

The concert is free and open to the public and will be held in Greenfield Hall, at  Manhattan School of Music, 122 & Broadway, www.msmnyc.edu
