Who likes a sunburn?
How to's on prevention...
Use sunscreen every day with SPF 15 or greater. You may need a water resistant product if outdoors while remembering to reapply. Heliocare is a pill you can take on the days you are going outdoors to provide photoprotection of your DNA while serving as an antioxidant. A topical antioxidant is also very helpful for daily use in the morning such as Revale or Skinceuticals' new release Phloretin CF. If you do get sunburned, please call for a prescription of Biafine, a new topical that speeds up the healing process. Beautiful eyes
Fraxel vs. Blepharoplasty
As we age, all of us begin to experience relaxed upper eyelid skin that seems to have been stretched by some unknown force. Before Fraxel, we did not have a great non-invasive option to tighten the the upper eyelid skin. We have treated multiple patients with Fraxel on the upper lids and have received fantastic feedback. Temporary swelling does occur but by wearing sunglasses or reading glasses, it is easy to disguise for those short 2-3 days. We recommend 3-5 treatments.
