Dallas
TX - October 5, 2010 - The Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc., along with
NPower Texas,
announced today that their annual fundraiser will be held October 14, 2010 in
the Dallas Design District at "The Apartment" from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. The event,
titled the Digital Disco Ball, will raise funds to support the delivery of
web-based tracking and management tools to humanitarian relief organizations around the world. These tools will enable them manage their product donations and supply warehouses with less manual
administration, saving valuable time and money that can be reinvested in the
delivery of aid to those in need. The event is open to the public and tickets
and sponsorships, including a "virtual ticket option" for $65, are available
for purchase online at
www.aidmatrix.org/digitaldiscoball.htm.
This year's event will have a 70s theme and will feature a
DJ, celebrity impersonators, specialty bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres and deserts,
raffle prizes and live and silent auctions. The event will take place at "The
Apartment" which is located at 1444
Oak Lawn Ave., Suite 206, Dallas,
TX 75207.
Tickets start at $75 per person and can be purchased online or at the door.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For those who cannot attend but
who wish to contribute, donations can be made through the Aidmatrix website at
www.aidmatrix.org/digitaldiscoball.htm.
All proceeds benefit the Aidmatrix Foundation and NPower Texas in the development
of web-based tools and programs that make the work of humanitarian relief
agencies less financially burdensome.
Aidmatrix, an Irving-based nonprofit software developer,
leverages technology to help other nonprofits, governments and corporations
perform their philanthropic activities
more efficiently, more affordably and with greater impact.
Aidmatrix's primary programs include hunger, medical and disaster relief as
well as transportation partner engagement to help facilitate the delivery of
humanitarian aid around the world. Aidmatrix relies upon grants and donations
to underwrite the development of its web-based tools that would typically be
cost-prohibitive to humanitarian relief organizations and instead offers them
at greatly reduced rates and customized to the unique needs of relief
organizations. Aidmatrix solutions are used across Texas,
the U.S.A. and the world,
most notably in this year's Haiti
earthquake relief and recovery efforts.
NPower Texas, a division of Aidmatrix, focuses on improving
nonprofits' access to technology through website development and IT consulting
services which those nonprofits could not otherwise likely afford.
