Aidmatrix Acquires NPower Texas
Aidmatrix recently acquired the assets and programming of
NPower Texas, a Dallas-based nonprofit organization focused on improving
nonprofits' access to technology. The deal includes the transfer of board
members, staff, customers, products, revenue, assets and liabilities. It brings
together two IT pioneers in Texas' history of improving the lives of their
community members through technology. The expansion further solidifies
Aidmatrix' ability to deliver end-to-end technology and consulting solutions
for small- to mid-sized nonprofits of nearly all missions and improves the
overall flow of humanitarian relief delivered in Texas. The organizations have
a strong history of partnership, with Aidmatrix assisting in the launch of
NPower Texas in 2007, and both organizations partnering with NPower's National
Network of affiliates in a variety of ways. |

Final 4 Days to have
your donation matched - please consider a donation before June 17!
If everyone who reads
this newsletter donates just $20, we'll achieve our goal of being able to get hundreds of additional
agencies access to NPower Texas's tools and capabilities. Doing this will help
agencies in Texas do such things as: -
Serve 20-40% more clients through efficiencies
created by technology
-
Provide 3,000,000 meals to the hungry
-
60,000 Diabetics in need can test their
blood-sugar levels for two weeks
-
Texas food banks can save up to $300,000 per year
through savings on purchases from retail markets
With the merger of Aidmatrix and NPower
Texas, there is an exciting
opportunity for the organization to utilize NPower Texas' technology to grow
capacity in Texas through a generous 1-for-2 match from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation ( www.msdf.org/). For every $20 you donate,
the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation will
donate an additional $10!NPower Texas is focused on improving nonprofits' access to
technology through such initiatives as helping local nonprofits create
efficiency-building websites, providing IT consulting services at no cost or at
discounted rates - these services are as essential in the nonprofit world as
they are in the for-profit world, but are typically beyond the financial reach
of many small-to-mid-sized nonprofit organizations. Thank you for your consideration in the final
days of this fundraising initiative! Make your donation dollars go
further by donating today ( click here).
Thank you for your generous support.

MO-Ranch Conference Center Succeeds
with NPower Texas Assessment Service
NPower Texas was asked to conduct a 12 benchmark
Stable and Secure Assessment of the Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly technology
infrastructure, security and technology processes. CHALLENGESince 1949, Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly has
been a camp and conference center affiliated with the Synod of the Sun of the
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) It occupies approximately 500 acres in a beautiful
setting on the North Fork of the Guadalupe River in the scenic Texas Hill Country.
Like many nonprofits, Mo-Ranch had technology that had grown organically over
time. Hardware and software were acquired as needed and technology support was
provided ad hoc. The management needed a clear and concise report that
represented the challenges and solutions to present to their board of directors
to set goals and budget for improving their infrastructure. SOLUTIONNPower Texas conducted a Stable and Secure
exercise on approximately 75 personal computers, and its network
consisting of 7 servers, routers and switches at their 6 locations
in Hunt, Texas. NPower Texas made recommendations in the following
areas: 1. PC Configuration 2. Operating Systems 3. Network Setup 4. Internet Setup 5. Firewall 6. Wireless Access 7. Information Backup 8. Email Protection 9. Secure Internet Browsing 10. Password Policy 11. Documentation 12. Technical
Support IMPACT"Amir Tabei of NPower Texas recently completed an IT technology
audit for our church related conference center. For the first time in the
five years I have been on staff, Mo-Ranch has a clear picture of what we doing
right and what needs our attention as we move our computer technology into the
future. In addition to being very easy to work with, Amir was
knowledgeable, candid and thorough in his assessment and provided a very
complete and well organized report along with an executive summary that will be
easy for executive management and board members to understand. In
addition, he provided information about some very helpful resources that will
potentially save significant dollars on new equipment and software. I
will whole-heartedly recommend NPower to my colleagues at other church related
conference centers." Gary L. Batty, Vice President of Mo-Ranch Conference Center Contact us to learn more about how we can help your organization |
